With just a week left before the most anticipated faceoff between Pacquiao vs Mayweather, tickets for the bout reportedly sold out within a minute after it went public abroad on Thursday or Friday Philippine time.
According to TMZ sports, as soon as Ticketmaster started selling tickets for the Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight, it immediately got all sold in a snap. They even claim that it just took 20 seconds before the message “No Tickets Left” popped on the Ticketmaster website.
In a report on the Daily Mail website, about 500 to 1,000 tickets were reportedly sold to the public. Tickets cost from $1,500 – $7,500 each.
Various reports also say secondary markets have started reselling sold tickets for up to a whopping $80,000 a piece!
The other seats at the venue that is about 15,000 will be split among sponsors, promoters and fighters, according to a BBC report.
Pacquiao and Mayweather will meet in the ring at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas next weekend.
